What is e-juice?

by Robert S. Chancellor

The researchers confirm that vaping is better than smoking, in terms of health benefits. This is because, the e-cigarette does not contain the actual tobacco or other harmful ingredients, carbon monoxide and tar.

Instead, e-cigarettes use the liquid nicotine solution. It is known in different names in the market, such as e-liquid or e-juice.

E-juice is made up of ingredients; namely – water, nicotine, flavourings substances, and the base – a propylene glycol or vegetable glycerine. And in cases, the mixture of PG and VG is used to prepare the e-juice.

Let us check each of the ingredients in the E-juice –

Nicotine –

Nicotine is an addictive ingredient that is found in traditional cigarettes. Nicotine stimulates the central brain and affects the body to cause an increase in blood pressure, respiration and heart rate.

When nicotine enters the brain, it helps in releasing the feeling of pleasure. The reason for this is the increased dopamine levels.

Nicotine is also present in vape e-juice, though the level of nicotine content varies in different flavours that are available in the market today. The nicotine content can range from none to 36 milligrams per millilitre.  Try JUUL devices to experience delivering a quick nicotine hit without any harsh effect on the throat.

Flavourings –

Thousands of flavours exist in the vape devices sold in the market today. Some of them are cherry, coconut, mango, strawberry, mint, orange, fresh apple, sweet tarts, cinnamon and even tobacco.

Every new month, there is an introduction of new flavours and the buyers love to test the varied flavours to enjoy the vaping experience.

Propylene Glycol (PG)  and Vegetable Glycerin (VG)

Understanding the ingredients – Propylene Glycol (PG)  and Vegetable Glycerin (VG) in e-juice will help in your enjoying the vaping experience.

Propylene Glycol (PG) and Vegetable Glycerin (VG) are used in vape devices in different ratios. Both PG and VG are odourless liquids that are usually combined with flavours and nicotine to make the vape juices of your favourite flavour. The consistencies and tastes of these two ingredients are different and offer variable diffidence in the mouth and throat sensation during vaping. Every vaper will like the vape juice with a variation of VG and PG content ratio in it. The content level of PG and VG helps to alter the throat hit. The PG/VG content also helps to strengthen the flavour and activates the production ofthe of cloud.

High VG vape liquid offers a smoother feeling in the throat and a thicker mouthfeel. Ensure to stay within the voltage limits to avoid dry hits or spoiling your equipment.

Choose a high PG e-liquid if you want to produce less vapour. Alternatively, use the high VG vape if you are is a cloud chaser. This is because the higher VG content produces thicker clouds.
